Hello Massh! Alpha Testing Started.
Filed under: News — admin @ 12:00 am
I’m happy to announce that Massh! is ready for alpha testing.
It could be a beta test, but I guess “alpha” is more appropriate ![]()
To start Massh!, simply click the following button (or the button on “Start” page).
![]()
(08.4.22 FINISHED! Thank you all for your participation to our first alpha testing. We’ll be back with better Beta version. See you soon again.)
You can use it and mashup tunes without any user registration. But in order to submit your own loop or save your mashup, you need to sign up into our forum (click here to jump to the user registration directly). Once signed up, you can use the same username / password to login on Massh!
I’ll definitely write about things like:
* How to use Massh!
* Known problems
* Coming features
* Basic concept behind the project.
in a few days (I know it still has quite a few big bugs… ). For the moment, I’d like to let users to explore and figure out by themselves.
One more thing: I haven’t come up with a good name for this project. I kinda like Massh! (it’s mass + mash in fact). Simple and easy to remember. But I’m not sure how it looks and sounds to native English speakers. I also think that the word “mashup” is overused and adding “mash” to your project name is like calling your software “i-something” (no personal insult)
If you have any ideas or thoughts on the project and its name, please please let me know. Your suggestions are ALWAYS more than welcome.

Massh! sounds pretty cool. On the one hand, heavy internet users may assume that it’s a tool to make mashups of web apps, while on the other, it will sound fresh to people who don’t know about web mashups.
I think the title is good as it is, but if you want to make it more relevant to sound/music, here’s an idea I came up with when you mentioned played out i____ titles —–> sMassh! (contraction of Sound Mash + coincidentally a badass word by itself
)
